Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

PLANNING YOUR TRIP

Where will the conference take place?
Panels and workshops will take place in the building of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance at Janskerkhof 2-3, right in the city center of Utrecht. Please find information about our location here. Locations for the reception and the dinner are close by, within walking distance.

How do get to Utrecht?
Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam) has a separate train station, which is located directly below the airport. From there, trains to Utrecht take about 30 minutes and depart every 15 minutes. For further information, also about other means of travel, see here

Where can I stay in Utrecht?
Within and around Utrecht there is a wide variety of accommodation options. We’ve listed some options close to the conference venue here (see also the map with the conference location highlighted in green). For further information, for instance about student accommodation, see this UU-page.

I need an invitation letter for my Visa-application. Where can I get this?
Please send an email to pmrc2023@uu.nl with your name and institution and we’ll be sure to get you a signed invitation letter via email.

REGARDING THE CONFERENCE

Where and how can I register?
Presenters, co-authors, pre-conference chairs, panel chairs, and/or invited guests have received an email with a registration link (let us know if you haven’t at pmrc2023@uu.nl). To make sure we don’t exceed the capacity of the conference and our venues, we currently only process registrations from presenters, co-authors and/or pre-conference/panel chairs. Space permitting, we’ll open up the registration for other participants as well. Further information about the registration process, conference fees, deadlines and the cancellation policy can be found here

Will I be required to submit a paper?
We’ll provide the opportunity to submit and exchange papers. We’ve a deadline of the 10th of June for paper submissions. Note that we do not have a maximum word count for the papers. Information on this will follow.

What is the format of presentations?
Depending on the number of papers in your panel, each paper will have about 20 minutes including Q&A. The presentation itself should take about 10-15 minutes. A beamer for PowerPoint presentations is available in all rooms and locations.

When will I have to present exactly?
We currently have a provisional program (see here), specifying the timeslots for the panel sessions. Exact times and dates of presentations will be made available when we finalize the program, which we can only do after registration is complete. In scheduling the presentations, we expect conference attendees to be available for all days of the conference.

Will there be any pre-conference workshops?
Yes, on the 27th of June we’ll have a whole day of pre-conference workshops with a morning and an afternoon program. You can find information about these workshops on this webpage. When registering, you can sign up for these workshops.
